A Scottish town hall has been locked down amid fears of a bomb discovery.

Emergency services raced to the area at around 6pm on Friday, September 18, when a suspicious device was found at the rear of the building.


A cordon has been set up around the town hall in Lerwick, Shetland, and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has been called in to assess the device.


Cops have urged members of the public to steer clear the area while investigations are underway.
