Parents could lose welfare benefits or even face prison sentences for crimes committed by their children – as the Government seeks to reform the justice system.
Youth Justice Minister Jake Richards told the Times that parents should be held accountable for their children’s behaviour, as well as being far more involved in efforts to turn young offenders away from further crime.
